Test of Kindergarten First Grade Readiness Skills
The Test of Kindergarten First Grade Readiness Skills (TKFGRS Test) evaluates readiness in reading, spelling and arithmetic skills. The test is designed for children 3.6 - 7.0 years of age and the test takes about 20 minutes to administer.
TKFGRS Test
The TKFGRS Test is a specialized readiness instrument which focuses on the child's basic skills in reading, spelling and arithmetic. Because it is standardized, it allows the teacher to evaluate the child, and establish a baseline of skills for the entire class, relative to a national norm.
The areas involved in determining a child's abilities and readiness for kindergarten and first grade include:

Directions for test administration are concise and easy to understand. Scoring takes about 10 minutes. Results are given in age equivalents, standard scores, percentiles, and stanines, and will show strengths and weaknesses in the various areas.
